A lot of people think I use watercolor, but I’m way too lazy for that. So, I just made a straight-up full blown tutorial for this Ask because it’s so complicated. Here are links to purchasing materials:
- Toned Paper
- Col-Erase Pencils, Prismacolor Pencils
- Brush Pen
- Felt Tip Pens (Other brands: Copic, Sakura, Faber Castell Pitt)
- Markers (Other brands: Prismacolor)
- White Paint Marker (make sure it’s the water-based one)
Method is based off Peter Han’s CGMW/CDA/ACCD course, Visual Communication.

This is my first Sci-fi piece. Above I show you fist sketch and a little progress (and details). I used many techniques like, anime, matte painting…and I also used my 3D body model for his torso. This is also used as a poster for Japanese event in Slovenia. More info about the piece you can find on link above. Enjoy.
